Top Cow Productions is excited to announce a new original graphic novel by Matt Hawkins and Raffaele Ienco: STAIRWAY.
In STAIRWAY, a genetic researcher discovers information encoded in our DNA from millions of years ago. This data includes schematics on how to build biological entities, advanced technologies and other things not yet understandable. STAIRWAY is a story about second chances, the cost of the pursuit of knowledge, the balance between work and family and an exploration of what it means to be human.
The Kickstarter to crowdfund the first printing has commenced bringing the 128-page graphic novel to Top Cow fans directly with some exciting incentives that won’t be available anywhere else. There will be limited edition Top Cow 25th anniversary mini-lithos, buttons, and an exclusive STAIRWAY cover only available through Kickstarter.
“STAIRWAY is the culmination of two years worth of research and work and in my humble opinion, this is my best work yet,” says STAIRWAY writer/co-creator Matt Hawkins. “The science class alone in this one took me five days to write!”
Aspiring comic book creators can pledge for a special behind the scene look at Matt’s process on what it takes to bring a graphic novel from idea to print. This tier allows them access to a private Facebook channel with direct contact to Matt and a safe place for creators to discuss the craft and trade ideas.
Top Cow is initiating its first writers’ room tier where comic book writers will visit (or Skype) the Top Cow office and workshop their original idea that will appear in an anthology to publish in 2018.
