We are looking to hire one writer and one artist from anywhere in the world to do paid work for the company in 2022/2023. The goal of the Talent Hunt is to find one previously UNPUBLISHED writer and one previously UNPUBLISHED artist and give them a chance to expose their work to the comic industry in the printed and digital formats. The comics industry is an awesome one to work in…both Marc Silvestri and I thought about this and realized that at some point someone gave us a chance. We’re looking to do the same for a few people. Two people may not seem like a lot but we don’t actually publish that many books so it is a LOT for us. This is paid work. Each winner will be paid a flat $1,000 fee for the work published.
We will also be offering one runner-up writer and one runner-up artist an opportunity to write/illustrate a short story. This will also be paid work; winners will receive a flat $250 fee for the work published. For writers this will NOT be the story you submit but a new one once you’ve been chosen that will be directed by our editorial team. If anyone that is selected as a runner -up opts to NOT participate we will simply move down the list and offer it to the next in line.
