Top Cow Productions is approaching another epic milestone: 25 years of The Darkness! To celebrate the auspicious occasion, Top Cow is Kickstarting The Darkness Complete Collection Vol. 1 Hardcover while offering exclusive rewards.
“Our Witchblade 25th Anniversary Kickstarter was such a success with our fans,” Top Cow founder Marc Silvestri said. “The feedback we got was are we going to do with the again but with The Darkness. The answer was a no brainer. We want to give Jackie fans something to get excited about—and celebrate 25 years of their favorite anti-hero.”
“We couldn’t do this without the readers,” Top Cow President & COO Matt Hawkins said. “It’s all apart of a giant collaboration between Top Cow, contributing Darkness storytellers, and the fans.”
The latest crowdfunding initiative offers a Kickstarter exclusive dustjacket and signature by Darkness co-creator Marc Silvestri. For the first time in seven years, there will be new Darkness art by Marc Silvestri and Stjepan Sejic (HARLEEN, SUNSTONE). Backers can choose tiers that offer a Kickstarter exclusive The Darkness #1 facsimile variant, enamel pin, t-shirt, and remark Darkness art by Marc Silvestri.
Additional rewards include Marc Silvestri making himself available for exclusive video calls with groups of fans or one-on-one interactions. “We can talk about your portfolios. I can give you reviews, pointers on your artwork, and help you become a comic book professional,” Silvestri said.
